Susan Anderson is an artist based in Laguna Beach California. She has been painting and drawing for over 5o years. An avid walker and hiker, she likes to explore the many trails and paths of Southern California. She has a love of the outdoors and a personal connection to the places she passes through. Her paintings are a reflection of where she has been. She hopes that viewers feel a connection to memories of their own moments on the trails.

“There is always a path ahead or just beyond view,  Leaves vibrate. Light shifts. Shadows etch texture in the felted brush and scrub grasses. Crumbling acorn dirt sifts under an oak.  Silence. Energy.  Our trail is out of sight, then returns. a scent of sage rises on the warm air. Perhaps an airplane drones far away, high and distant in the still sky. And I am moving through it all. Just being there in that place in time.”
